I'm a geek - but I think you already knew that....

Today I want to share some earrings I made a while ago with you - I'd forgotten about them and then wore them to work last week!

For those of you who have been following for a while, I graduated last year and am now I'm working as an electrical engineer (read: geek)

I had some leftover components from my design project and decided to make some jewelry from it.


I started with a pile like this:

Then I painted them.  Looped them on a hanger so that I could paint all around them.

Then using pliers I looped them onto these pretty earring thingers that I found on sale at Michael's.

I love that the gold paint gives them a cohesive look, but you can still see the stripes through it!

I still have some other electronic components kicking around that I plan to make jewelry out of...maybe one day I'll get around to it!
