Sisterly Spa Series: Day 2 - Face Masks

WELCOME TO DAY 2 - FACEMASKS

If you missed DAY 1 click here

If you're new around here, this week my fun and talented sister Leslie over at Try To Keep Up!  and I are having a bit of a blog spa!  All week long we'll be providing you with spa product recipes as well as reviews of store bought stuff too for when you just don't have the time to make it yourself!  Each day one of us will be doing the DIY version and the other sister will be reviewing something she bought, so make sure to check out both blogs daily!

Today I'll be reviewing a Balea face mask from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Mask used:  Balea Exfoliating face mask - Aloe Vera Leaf and Ginseng.

Following the directions to wash my face first, I proceeded to use the entire package and left it on for 10 minutes.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this....
Yup... there I am, sports bra and tee shirt, face mask on, such an attractive look!

I then washed it off with warm water and a wash cloth and after drying my skin I applied my Lush toner and moisturizer.

Things I liked:
It smelled pretty nice, a little perfumey, which isn't bad per say, but it always makes me wonder what kinds of things are in it if it smells "synthetic"

My skin felt really refreshed after.

The exfoliant was nice.

I really like the individual sized package.

Things I didn't like:

The mask got a little tingly after a few minutes which was okay, but if I had more sensitive skin, it probably would have been too much. **note: if you're ever using a mask and it hurts or burns, wash it off gently but immediately!**

Reading the ingredients there are a lot of things that I didn't know what they were, and that's always a concern for eco/health-ingredient conscious people.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Check out Leslie's home made mask - especially if you're concerned about what ingredients are in the stuff you buy from the store!

The fun continues tomorrow with sugar scrubs!!

Don't forget to stop back on Saturday for your chance to win a Lush gift card - they have great face masks there - they're so fresh you have to keep them in the fridge!!!

If your loving the spa series share it with others by grabbing a button!
