Non-Scratch Dish Scrubber

Last year when I was at my craft sale, my mom bought a non-scratch dish scrubber from one of the other vendors.  It is fantastic! It works great, but is starting to get old, and gross.

So I was enlisted to create some more!

I tried a few different patterns, and I'm sharing the one I liked best with you! (and of course I can't actually follow a pattern, so a created my own from looking at others!)

What you're going to need:

Crochet hook - size 5.5mm

Tulle - 2-3 inch wide strips (lots)

large yarn needle

Legend:

Ch – chain

Dc – double crochet

Sl st – slip stitch

**Note: I've never actually written a crochet pattern before...so bear with me.  I'm wanting this to be good for newbies, because even thought I'm a pretty good crochet-er I hate patterns that assume too much knowledge. If there are any questions, send me an email!

Start with your slip knot, ch 1

Round 1: Dc 8 in the first loop (your slip knot), Sl st in the first Dc. Ch 2

Round 2: 2 Dc in each Dc of round 1, Sl st in first Dc. Ch 2

Round 3: 2 Dc in each Dc of round 2, Sl st in first Dc. Finish and leave a long tail.

Create 2 of these circles. Weave in the beginning “tail.”

Using the end tail, stitch the two together and weave in remaining tail.

Use these scrubbies for cleaning stuck on gunk from dishes, or on soap scum in bathrooms. Put in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!
