Merry Christmas

First off, Merry Christmas to everyone!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that realizes they have traditions that they don't realize are traditions until it comes to doing it on Christmas day.

For example, when I turned on the tv this morning to have on in the background I was looking for one thing and one thing only:

Disney Parks Christmas Parade!!!

I can't remember when this started, but it's just one of those things I've always done.  I've decided I'd love to spend one Christmas in Disneyland (2800km away!) or Disneyworld (3300km away!) just once!!

Another thing that's a bit of a forgotten tradition for me? I keep a notebook of everything that I get for Christmas no matter how small!  I've been doing this for eleven years now, and I love it.  It's fun to look back at what you've received in the past, and it helps me appreciate the effort that goes into the gifts I receive.   Take a moment to think about it.  How hard to you work to buy/make everyone the "perfect gift?"  Now think back and try to remember what your spouse/parents/siblings got you last year, two years ago, or more.  It's hard isn't it?  But every year they all work so hard to find you something you'll love.  It makes me a little more grateful if I write it down.

And it's just fun to see that in 2004 my sister's now fiance (then boyfriend of 8 months!) bought me 2 graphic tees and a Simpson's desk calendar, or that in 1999 my best friend Amy bought me Calgon peach body spray  and a beaded headband! lol

So far today besides opening gifts and having delicious english muffin egg & bacon sandwiches (and holiday coffee...ie with baileys!)  I had an hour and a half bath with my friend Mr. Butterball...I think that might have to become a new tradition!!
