What the Heck Wednesday!

This is the beginning of a brand new giveaway!! Yay!  I'm super happy to announce that this month's prize comes to us from Bree who is just starting out her own etsy store and has a blog as well (My Crafty Crap)

She has very generously donated not one but 2 of her lovely creations for one very lucky WTHW reader.  She makes clutches, and wallets, and cute little crocheted things!!!

Make sure to check out her shop over the next while as she'll be adding to it!!  To see the wonderful things up for grabs this month check out her facebook gallery!  **read to the bottom of this post to find out how you can get yourself an extra entry this week!**

So this week's item:

White bandanas.  I have 6 of them.  I used to teach a recreational dance program and picked these up from the dollarstore for kids who didn't have them.  But then I ended up stuck with all these!  They're 100% cotton, and about 22" square.

Let me know what you'd do with them. :)

Enter to win one by:

1) Leaving a comment about what you would do with the bandanas (one entry for every suggestion - in a separate comment)

2) Become a follower and leave me a comment to let me know (or if you already are a follower, remind me with a comment)

BONUS ENTRY:  Go over to Bree's facebook page and become a fan (or "like" it, or whatever facebook is now calling it!)  And then leave me a comment to let me know you did, and leave your facebook id so I can check!

**I'm always on the lookout for prizes to give away, so if you'd like to be part of What the Heck Wednesday and donate a prize, drop me a line**

Linking up to my favorite Wednesday Parties!!

  1. You can always make pouches out of them (project bags, sandwich bags).

  2. They would make a very nifty strappy top when placed on the bias.

  3. Several squares can be used to make a hippie skirt. And since they are cotton, they can be dyed.

  4. Since I am obsessed with this trend, I would make fabric rosettes out of the bandanas and afix them to lamps. The black and white would make a gorgeous pattern-very Alice in Wonderland "painting the roses red".

  5. Make a no sew pillow, by cutting slits around the edges of 2 bandanas about 3 inches deep and a few inches apart. Put one bandana on either side of the pillow and tie the fabric strips together in double knots, creating a fringe around the edge and securing the pillow form inside. Cheap easy and disposable when you're over it.

  8. oooooh, a backpack! I need to get the pattern but it was one of the projects the Girl Guides/Scouts made at the international camp held in Guelph Ontario Canada this July! Backpacks made out of bandanas! That's what I'd do!

  9. I would totally make a halter top out of this!
I have also seen them all sewn together to make a table cloth. You could alternate with some other nifty material.

  12. Remember like two years ago when wearing a bandana rolled up got uber trendy (highschool kids are still doing it). I would do a re-style and cover a little mini head band with it. Then cut and hem (or use the nofray glue) a strip ribbon size and tie it into a bow. Hot glue gun that baby on to your headband.

  13. I would make some accessories. I've seen a tutorial for mod-podging shoes! And you could make some fabric bracelets and a headband and be so coordinating :)

  14. I think I would use them to tie dye!
